find the source of possible illegal activity where Cassie works He also happens to be super sexy Sparks fly and drama ensues Cassie and Drew were adorable together They had great chemistry and a lot in common Their conversations were loaded with hilarious puns and unintentional sexual innuendos Okay, some of them were intentional I was really glad this book skipped the I m socially awkward and therefore have no sexual experience and thank god an attractive man finally wants to sleep with me stereotype Nerds have sex too And by sexual experience I don t mean her number of partners, that isn t mentioned or even important I just liked that Cassie knew what she wanted, what she liked, and was confident in bed Plus, condoms were used Yey Drew may have been a genius of a hacker, but he was a pretty awful FBI agent Thankfully, Drew admitted this to himself all the time It made a huge difference Nothing bothers methan characters sucking at their jobs You know, stuff like a detective, bodyguard, FBI agent etc making huge mistakes while ignoring it and wondering why everything isn t going according to plan I usually end up yelling at my book BECAUSE YOU RE AN INCOMPETENT BOOB, THAT S WHY At least Drew had the good sense to admit that he was failing miserably at what he was originally sent to do, mostly because he was falling for one of the people he was investigating If I m remembering correctly, this was his first undercover case, so that helped too As for Drew s lies, they didn t bother me I mean, come on What was he supposed to do That s the point of the plot And yes, Drew did a pretty shitty thing towards the end Bad form, Drew, bad form At least he groveled appropriately All in all, a really cute book Nothing that ll knock your socks off, but it was sweet, romantic, and filled with funny banter I m glad I read it 3.5 FBI Sexy Nerds StarsARC via NetGalleyThank you, Entangled Lovestruck A cute nerd MC, a cute nerd LI, people talking about hacking and a we have two characters who are pretty much perfect for each other falling in love Cassie and Drew are both crazy about computers and datas and complicated computer language I can t honestly follow While Cassie works for growing company as their data analist, Drew is a computer specialist and FBI agent working a undercover mission that can lead to Cassie going to prison Drew and his team know something s up with Cassie s company, and all evidence points to Cassie being guilty of corporate espionage That means Drew has to infiltrate the company and try to get close to Cassie to unconver the truth Well, when the FBI said close, they didn t mean that close, but the attraction between Drew and Cassie is undeniable So, on one hand, we have Cassie and her new hot coworker who s driving her crazy because she doesn t want to give in to her attraction just to find out he s there to take her job Being a badass computer genius woman should be enough to garantee she ll keep her job, but we all know how hard the corporate world is on woman On the other hand, we have Drew and his hot suspect who might be guilty of a federal crime or might screw up his first undercover assignment They both have reasons to fight their attracting to each other, but thetime they spend together the harder it becomes. The thing I liked the most about The Wrong Kind of Compatible was how funny it got, especially when reding Cassie s POV Cassie had an unique personality she seemed to be missing a filter, since pretty much everything she thought she ended up saying out loud That made for some really fun interactions. The chemistry between Cassie and Drew was another positive They were good together and they shared some nice, hot moments They both had things to lose, but ended up falling in love and ultimately fighting for that love 4.5 Stars Cassie is a data analyst, and not much captures her attention like code or all things nerd Well, until the new employee, Drew, was introduced, that of what she s accomplished, especially the new government contract she recently secured, she doesn t need to question her attributes, 4.5 Stars Cassie is a data analyst, and not much captures her Fiddlesticks How much did he hear Wait, did he just say they re working together, that his position is the same as hers Take that, hot new guy CassieDrew is very good with a computer, albeit by means of hacking, but his true purpose for being at the company as an employee lies with his real job as an FBI agent He s never been someone known for socializing, but he really wants to win over the adorable blonde muttering to herself, about him no less, and it isn t only due to his need to complete his assignment Plus, hackers, even one of the world s best at it, don t usually work in the field, but as this is a government contract under scrutiny Something suspicious, as in illegal, is going on and he s been watching Cassie s work for months, sure she s the culprit, but the target of his undercover assignment is a completely different reality, as is her impact on him, in person than on paper Those eyes When she d first turned around and blinked up at him like a lost little owl, he d completely swallowed his words DrewAs the two begin working together, it s obvious their skills are both high, as is the mutual sexual tension, though neither pick up on the latter initially Drew realizes exactly how smart Cassie is, as well as untrusting and intuitive, and works hard to earn her trustironic considering he s deceiving her every day.It isn t long before their banter, sexual innuendo, intentional and unintentional, result in an explosive encounter While both want nothingthan continue to completion, possibly a few times, they also know it isn t the best idea Cassie still doesn t trust him, having had her work stolen in the past, and as for Drew, she s still his prime suspect But they understand each other so easily, complementing one another s awkwardness and intelligence almost seamlessly, and the chemistry between them is undeniable Neither Drew nor Cassie know quite how to analyze their connection, but they do know they d love further,in depth, inputyou know, in order to provide a complete assessment wink This woman was priceless DrewWhat happens when Cassie begins noticing some irregularities in the code she s written Will she suspect Drew, the newcomer Or maybe one of the other recent hires What happens when Cassie discovers Drew s deceit How will she react upon learning why he got close to her Who is really responsible for the illegal social skills and her colleagues treat her a little like Sheldon Cooper from the Big Bang Theory One of her quirks is that she can t tell whether she is thinking or talking out loud and frequently expresses her innermost feelings out loud.Unbeknownst to her, her new colleague Drew Kerrigan is an undercover FBI agent investigating shady dealing at the company where Cassie works Although Drew is and his prime suspect for the shady dealings is none other than Data Minds prodigy data analyst, Cassie.Of course we know that it isn t Cassie but apparently the combined might of the FBI can t identify the real culprit. As Cassie and Drew bond over a love of coding and Star Wars can Drew uncover the real criminal How many times do I have to write, I liked it but I didn t love it I didn t find Cassie and Drew very convincing nerds, apparently having unmatched underwear is code for geek A lighthearted read, perfect for the beach but not one I would re read.I received a free copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley in return for an honest review.Bumped for release 2.75 stars rounded upAt first I was quite amused with both characters a brainiac data analysis who doesn t quite have a brain to mouth filter, and an equally socially inept FBI hacker agent who goes undercover at her company I mean, I chuckled when Drew had to resort to finding a How To book to help him figuring out how to talk to Cassie But then I started to get tired with their awkwardness it felt a bit over the top I also didn t like how Drew ended up sleeping with Cassie before the 2.75 stars rounded upAt also didn t like how Drew ended up sleeping with Cassie before the case was over Of course I read romance with this plot before, with the law enforcement agents sleep their way with suspects but somehow I just didn t like it here shrugs.I also started to think that for a smart hacker, Drew was pretty clueless with catching up the bad guys and I, as a reader, who saw things from miles away before the cases wrapped up, was getting frustrated. In the end, this was just an okay book for me Not exactly loving it but not completely disliking it either At least we have a heroine who works as data analyst, a field that iscommon to be male s territory The Wrong Kind of Compatible was a really cute and quirky read I thought Drew and Cassie were the King and Queen of adorable nerds and I Entangled Publishing for an advanced copy of this book for an honest review 4 stars Ratula (FREE EPUB) ô The Wrong Kind of Compatible ô Data analyst Cassie Howard may be brilliant and, okay, a little awkward , but she s worked hard to get where she is She definitely doesn t need some sexy new analyst coming in and taking credit for her work Or the inappropriate thoughts that keep popping out of her mouth she d rather he not hearFor undercover FBI agent Drew Kerrigan, computers have always made sense than people, but he d better develop some slick social skills in a hurry if he s going to win over the too tantalizing for his sanity Cassie Hacking their systems was easy Now he s just got to hack the one person in the company most likely to see through his ruse Not my favorite but still entertaining I liked it but didn t love this book The story and the characters lacked depth But I still had a good time reading it
